SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PLOD2 (procollagen-lysine,2-oxoglutarate 5-dioxygenase 2, also called LH2) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PLOD2 qPCR Primer Set – procollagen-lysine,2-oxoglutarate 5-dioxygenase 2
Also known as: BRKS2, LH2, TLH
About this gene: The PLOD2 protein is a membrane-bound homodimeric enzyme that is localized to the cisternae of the rough endoplasmic reticulum. The enzyme catalyzes the hydroxylation of lysyl residues in collagen-like peptides. The resultant hydroxylysyl groups are attachment sites for carbohydrates in collagen and thus are critical for the stability of intermolecular crosslinks.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5352; HGNC ID: HGNC:9082; UniProt: O00469; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_182943.3; Chromosome location: 3q24
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
