About this gene: The PLEK2 protein associates with membrane-bound phosphatidylinositols generated by phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase. The PLEK2 protein then interacts with the actin cytoskeleton to induce cell spreading. In conjunction with complement component 1, q subcomponent, B chain, PLEK2 shows an increase in expression in melanoma cells and may serve as an accurate biomarker for the disease.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
