SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PKP2 (plakophilin 2) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PKP2 qPCR Primer Set – plakophilin 2
Also known as: ARVD9
About this gene: PKP2 belongs to the arm-repeat and plakophilin gene families. Plakophilin proteins contain numerous armadillo repeats, localize to cell desmosomes and nuclei, and participate in linking cadherins to intermediate filaments in the cytoskeleton. PKP2 may regulate the signaling activity of beta-catenin and is required to maintain transcription of genes that control intracellular calcium cycling including ryanodine receptor 2, ankyrin-B, triadin, and calcium channel, voltage-dependent, L type.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5318; HGNC ID: HGNC:9024; UniProt: Q99959; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001005242.3; Chromosome location: 12p11.21
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
