SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PITRM1 (pitrilysin metallopeptidase 1, also called hMP1) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PITRM1 qPCR Primer Set – pitrilysin metallopeptidase 1
Also known as: MP1, PreP, SCAR30
About this gene: The PITRM1 protein is an ATP-dependent metalloprotease that degrades post-cleavage mitochondrial transit peptides. The PITRM1 protein binds zinc and can also degrade amyloid beta A4 protein, suggesting a possible role in Alzheimer's disease.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 10531; HGNC ID: HGNC:17663; UniProt: Q5JRX3; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_014889.4; Chromosome location: 10p15.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
