SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PI4KA (phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase alpha, also called PI4K-alpha) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PI4KA qPCR Primer Set – phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase alpha
Also known as: GIDID2, PI4K-ALPHA, PIK4CA, PMGYCHA, SPG84, pi4K230
About this gene: PI4KA encodes a phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase which catalyzes the first committed step in the biosynthesis of phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate. The mammalian PI 4-kinases have been classified into two types, II and III, based on their molecular mass, and modulation by detergent and adenosine. The PI4KA protein is a type III enzyme that is not inhibited by adenosine.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5297; HGNC ID: HGNC:8983; UniProt: P42356; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_058004.4; Chromosome location: 22q11.21
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
