SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PIK3CA (phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase catalytic subunit alpha, also called PI3K-alpha) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PIK3CA qPCR Primer Set – phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase catalytic subunit alpha
Also known as: CCM4, CLAPO, CLOVE, CWS5, HMH, MCAP, MCM, MCMTC, PI3K, PI3K-alpha, p110-alpha
About this gene: Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase is composed of an 85 kDa regulatory subunit and a 110 kDa catalytic subunit. The PIK3CA protein represents the catalytic subunit, which uses ATP to phosphorylate PtdIns, PtdIns4P and PtdInsP2. PIK3CA has been found to be oncogenic and has been implicated in cervical cancers.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5290; HGNC ID: HGNC:8975; UniProt: P42336; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_006218.4; Chromosome location: 3q26.32
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
