SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PIGY (phosphatidylinositol glycan anchor biosynthesis class Y, also called PIG-Y) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PIGY qPCR Primer Set – phosphatidylinositol glycan anchor biosynthesis class Y
Also known as: HPMRS6, PIG-Y
About this gene: The PIGY protein is part of the GPI-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase complex which initiates the biosynthesis of glycosylphosphatidylinositol. GPI is synthesized in the endoplasmic reticulum and serves as an anchor for many surface proteins. Proteins containing GPI anchors can have an important role in cell-cell interactions.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 84992; HGNC ID: HGNC:28213; UniProt: Q3MUY2; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001042616.3; Chromosome location: 4q22.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
