Human PIGV qPCR Primer Set – phosphatidylinositol glycan anchor biosynthesis class V

Also known as: GPI-MT-II, HPMRS1, PIG-V

About this gene: PIGV encodes a mannosyltransferase enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of glycosylphosphatidylinositol. GPI is a complex glycolipid that acts as a membrane anchor for many proteins and is involved in multiple cellular processes including protein sorting and signal transduction. The PIGV protein is localized to the endoplasmic reticulum and transfers the second mannose to the GPI backbone.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 55650; HGNC ID: HGNC:26031; UniProt: Q9NUD9; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_017837.4; Chromosome location: 1p36.11

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
