SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PIGC (phosphatidylinositol glycan anchor biosynthesis class C, also called PIG-C) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PIGC qPCR Primer Set – phosphatidylinositol glycan anchor biosynthesis class C
Also known as: GPI2, GPIBD16, MRT62
About this gene: PIGC encodes a endoplasmic reticulum associated protein that is involved in glycosylphosphatidylinositol lipid anchor biosynthesis. The GPI lipid anchor is a glycolipid found on many blood cells and serves to anchor proteins to the cell surface. The PIGC protein is one subunit of the GPI N-acetylglucosaminyl transferase that transfers GlcNAc to phosphatidylinositol on the cytoplasmic side of the endoplasmic reticulum.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5279; HGNC ID: HGNC:8960; UniProt: Q92535; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_153747.2; Chromosome location: 1q24.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
