Human PIGB qPCR Primer Set – phosphatidylinositol glycan anchor biosynthesis class B

Also known as: AFFND1, DEE80, EIEE80, GPI-MT-III, PIG-B

About this gene: PIGB encodes a transmembrane protein that is located in the endoplasmic reticulum and is involved in GPI-anchor biosynthesis. The glycosylphosphatidylinositol anchor is a glycolipid found on many blood cells and serves to anchor proteins to the cell surface. PIGB is believed to encode a member of a family of dolichol-phosphate-mannose dependent mannosyltransferases.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 9488; HGNC ID: HGNC:8959; UniProt: Q92521; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_004855.5; Chromosome location: 15q21.3

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
