Product Description

SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PIBF1 (progesterone immunomodulatory binding factor 1, also called PIBF) gene expression by real-time PCR.

Human PIBF1 qPCR Primer Set – progesterone immunomodulatory binding factor 1

Also known as: C13orf24, CEP90, JBTS33, PIBF

About this gene: PIBF1 encodes a protein that is induced by the steroid hormone progesterone and is involved in the maintenance of pregnancy. The PIBF1 protein regulates multiple facets of the immune system to promote normal pregnancy including cytokine synthesis, natural killer cell activity, and arachidonic acid metabolism. Low serum levels of this protein have been linked to spontaneous pre-term labor in humans.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 10464; HGNC ID: HGNC:23352; UniProt: Q8WXW3; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_006346.4; Chromosome location: 13q21.33-q22.1

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
