Human AUP1 qPCR Primer Set – AUP1 lipid droplet regulating VLDL assembly factor

About this gene: The protein encoded AUP1 is involved in multiple pathways including quality control of misfolded proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum and lipid droplet accumulation. Lipid droplets are organelles in the cytoplasm that store neutral lipids such as cholesterol esters and trigylycerides to prevent the overabundance of free cholesterol and fatty acids in cells. Reduced expression of AUP1 leads to reduced lipid droplet clustering, a function that is dependent on ubiquitination of the protein.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 550; HGNC ID: HGNC:891; UniProt: Q9Y679; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_181575.5; Chromosome location: 2p13.1

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
