SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PI3 (peptidase inhibitor 3, also called ESI) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PI3 qPCR Primer Set – peptidase inhibitor 3
Also known as: ESI, SKALP, WAP3, WFDC14, cementoin
About this gene: PI3 encodes a elastase-specific inhibitor that acts as an antimicrobial peptide against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and fungal pathogens. The protein contains a WAP-type four-disulfide core domain, and is thus a member of the WFDC domain family. Most WFDC gene members are localized to chromosome 20q12-q13 in two clusters: centromeric and telomeric.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5266; HGNC ID: HGNC:8947; UniProt: P19957; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002638.4; Chromosome location: 20q13.12
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
