About this gene: The DNA-associated protein encoded by PHOX2B belongs to the paired family of homeobox proteins localized to the nucleus. The protein acts as a transcription factor involved in the development of multiple major noradrenergic neuron populations and the determination of neurotransmitter phenotype. The gene product is linked to enhancement of second messenger-mediated activation of the dopamine beta-hydroylase, c-fos promoters and multiple enhancers, including cyclic amp-response element and serum-response element.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
