About this gene: PEX1 belongs to the AAA ATPase family, a large group of ATPases linked to diverse cellular activities. The PEX1 protein is cytoplasmic but is often anchored to a peroxisomal membrane where it forms a heteromeric complex and is involved in the import of proteins into peroxisomes and peroxisome biogenesis. Mutations in PEX1 have been linked to complementation group 1 peroxisomal disorders such as neonatal adrenoleukodystrophy, infantile Refsum disease, and Zellweger syndrome.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
