SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PSENEN (presenilin enhancer, gamma-secretase subunit) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PSENEN qPCR Primer Set – presenilin enhancer, gamma-secretase subunit
Also known as: ACNINV2, MDS033, MSTP064, PEN-2, PEN2
About this gene: Presenilins, which are components of the gamma-secretase protein complex, are required for intramembranous processing of some type I transmembrane proteins, such as the Notch proteins and the beta-amyloid precursor protein. Signaling by Notch receptors mediates a wide range of developmental cell fates. Processing of the beta-amyloid precursor protein generates neurotoxic amyloid beta peptides, the major component of senile plaques linked to Alzheimer's disease.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 55851; HGNC ID: HGNC:30100; UniProt: Q9NZ42; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_172341.4; Chromosome location: 19q13.12
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
