SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PDYN (prodynorphin, also called Preprodynorphin) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PDYN qPCR Primer Set – prodynorphin
Also known as: ADCA, PENKB, SCA23
About this gene: The PDYN protein is a preproprotein that is proteolytically processed to form the secreted opioid peptides beta-neoendorphin, dynorphin, leu-enkephalin, rimorphin, and leumorphin. These peptides are ligands for the kappa-type of opioid receptor. Dynorphin is involved in modulating responses to multiple psychoactive substances, including cocaine.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5173; HGNC ID: HGNC:8820; UniProt: P01213; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_024411.5; Chromosome location: 20p13
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
