Human PDHA1 qPCR Primer Set – pyruvate dehydrogenase E1 subunit alpha 1
Also known as: E1alpha, PDHA, PDHAD, PDHCE1A, PHE1A
About this gene: The pyruvate dehydrogenase complex is a nuclear-encoded mitochondrial multienzyme complex that catalyzes the overall conversion of pyruvate to acetyl-CoA and CO, and provides the primary link between glycolysis and the tricarboxylic acid cycle. The PDH complex is composed of multiple copies of three enzymatic components: pyruvate dehydrogenase, dihydrolipoamide acetyltransferase and lipoamide dehydrogenase. The E1 enzyme is a heterotetramer of two alpha and two beta subunits.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5160; HGNC ID: HGNC:8806; UniProt: P08559; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000284.4; Chromosome location: Xp22.12
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
