Human PDGFB qPCR Primer Set – platelet derived growth factor subunit B

Also known as: IBGC5, PDGF-2, PDGF2, SIS, SSV, c-sis

About this gene: PDGFB belongs to the protein family comprised of both platelet-derived growth factors and vascular endothelial growth factors. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate platelet-derived growth factor subunit B, which can homodimerize, or alternatively, heterodimerize with the related platelet-derived growth factor subunit A. These proteins bind and activate PDGF receptor tyrosine kinases. Mutations in PDGFB are linked to meningioma.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5155; HGNC ID: HGNC:8800; UniProt: P01127; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002608.4; Chromosome location: 22q13.1

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
