SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PCSK7 (proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 7, also called PC7) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PCSK7 qPCR Primer Set – proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 7
Also known as: LPC, PC7, PC8, SPC7
About this gene: PCSK7 belongs to the subtilisin-like proprotein convertase family, which includes proteases that process protein and peptide precursors trafficking through regulated or constitutive branches of the secretory pathway. The PCSK7 protein undergoes an initial autocatalytic processing event in the ER and then sorts to the trans-Golgi network through endosomes where a second autocatalytic event takes place and the catalytic activity is acquired. PCSK7 encodes one of the seven basic amino acid-specific members which cleave their substrates at single or paired basic residues.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 9159; HGNC ID: HGNC:8748; UniProt: Q16549; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_004716.4; Chromosome location: 11q23.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
