About this gene: PCSK5 belongs to the subtilisin-like proprotein convertase family, which includes proteases that process protein and peptide precursors trafficking through regulated or constitutive branches of the secretory pathway. This encoded protein is widely expressed and one of the seven basic amino acid-specific members which cleave their substrates at single or paired basic residues. The PCSK5 gene product mediates posttranslational endoproteolytic processing for multiple integrin alpha subunits and is believed to process prorenin, pro-membrane type-1 matrix metalloproteinase and HIV-1 glycoprotein gp160.

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
