SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PCSK1N (proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 1 inhibitor, also called pro-SAAS) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PCSK1N qPCR Primer Set – proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 1 inhibitor
Also known as: BigLEN, PEN, PROSAAS, SAAS, SCG8, SgVIII
About this gene: The PCSK1N protein acts as an inhibitor of prohormone convertase 1, which regulates the proteolytic cleavage of neuroendocrine peptide precursors. The proprotein is further processed into multiple short peptides. A polymorphism within PCSK1N may be linked to obesity.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 27344; HGNC ID: HGNC:17301; UniProt: Q9UHG2; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_013271.5; Chromosome location: Xp11.23
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
