SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PCK2 (phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase 2, mitochondrial, also called mtPCK2) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PCK2 qPCR Primer Set – phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase 2, mitochondrial
Also known as: PEPCK, PEPCK-M, PEPCK2, mtPCK2
About this gene: PCK2 encodes a mitochondrial enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of oxaloacetate to phosphoenolpyruvate in the presence of guanosine triphosphate. A cytosolic form of this protein is encoded by a different gene and is the key enzyme of gluconeogenesis in the liver.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5106; HGNC ID: HGNC:8725; UniProt: Q16822; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_004563.4; Chromosome location: 14q11.2-q12
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
