Human PCK1 qPCR Primer Set – phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase 1

Also known as: PCKDC, PEPCK-C, PEPCK1, PEPCKC

About this gene: PCK1 is a main control point for the regulation of gluconeogenesis. The cytosolic enzyme encoded by PCK1, along with GTP, catalyzes the formation of phosphoenolpyruvate from oxaloacetate, with the release of carbon dioxide and GDP. The expression of PCK1 can be regulated by insulin, glucocorticoids, glucagon, cAMP, and diet. Defects in PCK1 are a cause of cytosolic phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase deficiency.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5105; HGNC ID: HGNC:8724; UniProt: P35558; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002591.4; Chromosome location: 20q13.31

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
