SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PC (pyruvate carboxylase, also called PCB) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PC qPCR Primer Set – pyruvate carboxylase
Also known as: PCB
About this gene: PC encodes pyruvate carboxylase, which requires biotin and ATP to catalyse the carboxylation of pyruvate to oxaloacetate. The active enzyme is a homotetramer arranged in a tetrahedron which is located exclusively in the mitochondrial matrix. Pyruvate carboxylase is involved in gluconeogenesis, lipogenesis, insulin secretion and synthesis of the neurotransmitter glutamate.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5091; HGNC ID: HGNC:8636; UniProt: P11498; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001040716.2; Chromosome location: 11q13.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
