Human PAWR qPCR Primer Set – pro-apoptotic WT1 regulator
Also known as: PAR4, Par-4
About this gene: PAWR encodes a tumor suppressor protein that selectively induces apoptosis in cancer cells through intracellular and extracellular mechanisms. The intracellular mechanism involves the inhibition of pro-survival pathways and the activation of Fas-mediated apoptosis, while the extracellular mechanism involves the binding of a secreted form of this protein to glucose regulated protein 78 on the cell surface. PAWR is located on the unstable human chromosomal 12q21 region and is often deleted or mutated different tumors.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5074; HGNC ID: HGNC:8614; UniProt: Q96IZ0; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002583.4; Chromosome location: 12q21.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
