SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human PAH (phenylalanine hydroxylase) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human PAH qPCR Primer Set – phenylalanine hydroxylase
Also known as: PH, PKU, PKU1
About this gene: PAH belongs to the biopterin-dependent aromatic amino acid hydroxylase protein family. The encoded phenylalanine hydroxylase enzyme hydroxylates phenylalanine to tyrosine and is the rate-limiting step in phenylalanine catabolism. Deficiency of this enzyme activity leads to the autosomal recessive disorder phenylketonuria.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5053; HGNC ID: HGNC:8582; UniProt: P00439; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000277.3; Chromosome location: 12q23.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
