Human PACS1 qPCR Primer Set – phosphofurin acidic cluster sorting protein 1
Also known as: MRD17, SHMS
About this gene: PACS1 encodes a protein with a putative role in the localization of trans-Golgi network membrane proteins. Mouse and rat homologs have been identified and studies of the homologous rat protein indicate a role in directing TGN localization of furin by binding to the protease's phosphorylated cytosolic domain. In addition, the human protein is involved in HIV-1 Nef-mediated downregulation of cell surface MHC-I molecules to the TGN, thereby enabling HIV-1 to escape immune surveillance.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 55690; HGNC ID: HGNC:30032; UniProt: Q6VY07; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_018026.4; Chromosome location: 11q13.1-q13.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
