Human PABPC1 qPCR Primer Set – poly(A) binding protein cytoplasmic 1
Also known as: PAB1, PABP, PABP1, PABPC2, PABPL1
About this gene: PABPC1 encodes a poly binding protein. The protein shuttles between the nucleus and cytoplasm and binds to the 3' poly tail of eukaryotic messenger RNAs via RNA-recognition motifs. The binding of this protein to poly promotes ribosome recruitment and translation initiation; it is also required for poly shortening which is the first step in mRNA decay.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 26986; HGNC ID: HGNC:8554; UniProt: P11940; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002568.4; Chromosome location: 8q22.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
