Human CYP26B1 qPCR Primer Set – cytochrome P450 family 26 subfamily B member 1
Also known as: CYP26A2, P450RAI-2, P450RAI2, RHFCA
About this gene: CYP26B1 belongs to the cytochrome P450 superfamily. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. The CYP26B1 protein is localized to the endoplasmic reticulum, and acts as a critical regulator of all-trans retinoic acid levels by the specific inactivation of all-trans retinoic acid to hydroxylated forms.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 56603; HGNC ID: HGNC:20581; UniProt: Q9NR63; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_019885.4; Chromosome location: 2p13.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
