Human OXCT1 qPCR Primer Set – 3-oxoacid CoA-transferase 1
Also known as: OXCT, SCOT
About this gene: OXCT1 belongs to the 3-oxoacid CoA-transferase gene family. The OXCT1 protein is a homodimeric mitochondrial matrix enzyme that plays a central role in extrahepatic ketone body catabolism by catalyzing the reversible transfer of coenzyme A from succinyl-CoA to acetoacetate. Mutations in OXCT1 are linked to succinyl CoA:3-oxoacid CoA transferase deficiency.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 5019; HGNC ID: HGNC:8527; UniProt: P55809; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000436.4; Chromosome location: 5p13.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
