SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human OPN1SW (opsin 1, short wave sensitive, also called BOP) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human OPN1SW qPCR Primer Set – opsin 1, short wave sensitive
Also known as: BCP, BOP, CBT
About this gene: OPN1SW belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family, opsin subfamily. The OPN1SW gene product encodes the blue cone pigment gene which is one of three types of cone photoreceptors responsible for normal color vision. Defects in OPN1SW are the cause of tritan color blindness.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 611; HGNC ID: HGNC:1012; UniProt: P03999; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001385125.1; Chromosome location: 7q32.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
