SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human OCLN (occludin) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human OCLN qPCR Primer Set – occludin
Also known as: BLCPMG, PPP1R115, PTORCH1
About this gene: OCLN encodes a integral membrane protein that is required for cytokine-induced regulation of the tight junction paracellular permeability barrier. Mutations in OCLN are thought to be a cause of band-like calcification with simplified gyration and polymicrogyria, an autosomal recessive neurologic disorder that is also known as pseudo-TORCH syndrome.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 100506658; HGNC ID: HGNC:8104; UniProt: Q16625; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001205254.2; Chromosome location: 5q13.2
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
