SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human OAZ1 (ornithine decarboxylase antizyme 1, also called AZ1) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human OAZ1 qPCR Primer Set – ornithine decarboxylase antizyme 1
Also known as: AZ1, AZI, OAZ
About this gene: The OAZ1 protein belongs to the ornithine decarboxylase antizyme family, which is involved in cell growth and proliferation by regulating intracellular polyamine levels. Expression of antizymes requires +1 ribosomal frameshifting, which is enhanced by high levels of polyamines. Antizymes in turn bind to and inhibit ornithine decarboxylase, the key enzyme in polyamine biosynthesis; thus, completing the auto-regulatory circuit.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4946; HGNC ID: HGNC:8095; UniProt: P54368; Chromosome location: 19p13.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
