Human OAS2 qPCR Primer Set – 2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthetase 2
Also known as: AIAISD2
About this gene: OAS2 belongs to the 2-5A synthetase family, essential proteins involved in the innate immune response to viral infection. The OAS2 protein is induced by interferons and uses adenosine triphosphate in 2'-specific nucleotidyl transfer reactions to synthesize 2',5'-oligoadenylates. These molecules activate latent RNase L, which leads to viral RNA degradation and the inhibition of viral replication.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4939; HGNC ID: HGNC:8087; UniProt: P29728; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002535.3; Chromosome location: 12q24.13
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
