SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human NYX (nyctalopin) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human NYX qPCR Primer Set – nyctalopin
Also known as: CLRP, CSNB1, CSNB1A, CSNB4, NBM1
About this gene: The product of NYX belongs to the small leucine-rich proteoglycan family of proteins. Defects in NYX are the cause of congenital stationary night blindness type 1, also called X-linked congenital stationary night blindness. CSNB1 is a rare inherited retinal disorder characterized by impaired scotopic vision, myopia, hyperopia, nystagmus and reduced visual acuity.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 60506; HGNC ID: HGNC:8082; UniProt: Q9GZU5; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001378477.3; Chromosome location: Xp11.4
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
