Human NUB1 qPCR Primer Set – negative regulator of ubiquitin like proteins 1

Also known as: BS4, NUB1L, NYREN18

About this gene: NUB1 encodes a protein that acts as a negative regulator of NEDD8, a ubiquitin-like protein that conjugates with cullin family members in order to regulate vital biological events. The NUB1 protein regulates the NEDD8 conjugation system post-transcriptionally by recruiting NEDD8 and its conjugates to the proteasome for degradation. The NUB1 protein interacts with the product of the AIPL1 gene, which is linked to Leber congenital amaurosis, an inherited retinopathy, and mutations in that gene can abolish interaction with this protein, which may contribute to the pathogenesis.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 51667; HGNC ID: HGNC:17623; UniProt: Q9Y5A7; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_001243351.2; Chromosome location: 7q36.1

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
