Human NPM1 qPCR Primer Set – nucleophosmin 1

Also known as: B23, NPM

About this gene: The NPM1 protein is involved in multiple cellular processes, including centrosome duplication, protein chaperoning, and cell proliferation. The encoded phosphoprotein shuttles between the nucleolus, nucleus, and cytoplasm, chaperoning ribosomal proteins and core histones from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. The NPM1 protein is also known to sequester the tumor suppressor ARF in the nucleolus, protecting it from degradation until it is needed.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4869; HGNC ID: HGNC:7910; UniProt: P06748; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002520.7; Chromosome location: 5q35.1

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
