SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human NOG (noggin) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human NOG qPCR Primer Set – noggin
Also known as: SYM1, SYNS1, SYNS1A
About this gene: The secreted polypeptide, encoded by NOG, binds and inactivates members of the transforming growth factor-beta superfamily signaling proteins, such as bone morphogenetic protein-4. By diffusing through extracellular matrices more efficiently than members of the TGF-beta superfamily, this protein may have a principal role in creating morphogenic gradients. The protein appears to have pleiotropic effect, both early in development as well as in later stages.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 9241; HGNC ID: HGNC:7866; UniProt: Q13253; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_005450.6; Chromosome location: 17q22
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
