SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human NMT1 (N-myristoyltransferase 1, also called HsNMT1) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human NMT1 qPCR Primer Set – N-myristoyltransferase 1
Also known as: HsNMT1, NMT
About this gene: Myristate, a rare 14-carbon saturated fatty acid, is cotranslationally attached by an amide linkage to the N-terminal glycine residue of cellular and viral proteins with diverse functions. N-myristoyltransferase catalyzes the transfer of myristate from CoA to proteins. N-myristoylation appears to be irreversible and is required for full expression of the biologic activities of multiple N-myristoylated proteins, including the alpha subunit of the signal-transducing guanine nucleotide-binding protein GO.[supplied by OMIM, Nov 2008].
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4836; HGNC ID: HGNC:7857; UniProt: P30419; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_021079.5; Chromosome location: 17q21.31
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
