SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human BAMBI (BMP and activin membrane bound inhibitor) gene expression by real-time PCR.
Human BAMBI qPCR Primer Set – BMP and activin membrane bound inhibitor
Also known as: NMA
About this gene: BAMBI encodes a transmembrane glycoprotein related to the type I receptors of the transforming growth factor-beta family, whose members play important roles in signal transduction in many developmental and pathological processes. The BAMBI protein however is a pseudoreceptor, lacking an intracellular serine/threonine kinase domain required for signaling. Similar proteins in frog, mouse and zebrafish function as negative regulators of TGF-beta, which has led to the suggestion that the BAMBI protein may function to limit the signaling range of the TGF-beta family during early embryogenesis.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 25805; HGNC ID: HGNC:30251; UniProt: Q13145; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_012342.3; Chromosome location: 10p12.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
