SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human NKX2-8 (NK2 homeobox 8) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human NKX2-8 qPCR Primer Set – NK2 homeobox 8
Also known as: NKX2.8, NKX2H, Nkx2-9
About this gene: The NKX2-8 protein is a homeobox-containing developmental regulator linked to liver development. The NKX2-8 protein binds to the alpha-fetoprotein gene promoter and increases the expression of AFP. This gene is overexpressed in some lung cancers and is linked to poor patient survival, possibly due to its resistance to cisplatin. NKX2-8 is aberrantly methylated in pancreatic cancer, deleted in squamous cell lung carcinomas, and acts as a tumor suppressor in esophageal cancer.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 26257; HGNC ID: HGNC:16364; UniProt: O15522; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_014360.4; Chromosome location: 14q13.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
