SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human NDUFS8 (NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase core subunit S8, also called CI-23kD) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.

Human NDUFS8 qPCR Primer Set – NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase core subunit S8

Also known as: CI-23k, CI23KD, MC1DN2, TYKY

About this gene: NDUFS8 encodes a subunit of mitochondrial NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase, or Complex I, a multimeric enzyme of the respiratory chain responsible for NADH oxidation, ubiquinone reduction, and the ejection of protons from mitochondria. The NDUFS8 protein is involved in the binding of two of the six to eight iron-sulfur clusters of Complex I and, as such, is required in the electron transfer process. Mutations in NDUFS8 have been linked to Leigh syndrome.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4728; HGNC ID: HGNC:7715; UniProt: O00217; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002496.4; Chromosome location: 11q13.2

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
