Human NAGLU qPCR Primer Set – N-acetyl-alpha-glucosaminidase

Also known as: CMT2V, MPS-IIIB, MPS3B, NAG, UFHSD

About this gene: NAGLU encodes a enzyme that degrades heparan sulfate by hydrolysis of terminal N-acetyl-D-glucosamine residues in N-acetyl-alpha-D-glucosaminides. Defects in NAGLU are the cause of mucopolysaccharidosis type IIIB, also known as Sanfilippo syndrome B. This disease is characterized by the lysosomal accumulation and urinary excretion of heparan sulfate.

Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4669; HGNC ID: HGNC:7632; UniProt: P54802; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000263.4; Chromosome location: 17q21.2

What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
