SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MYOZ2 (myozenin 2) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MYOZ2 qPCR Primer Set – myozenin 2
Also known as: C4orf5, CMH16, CS-1, FATZ-2
About this gene: The MYOZ2 protein belongs to a family of sarcomeric proteins that bind to calcineurin, a phosphatase involved in calcium-dependent signal transduction in diverse cell types. These family members tether calcineurin to alpha-actinin at the z-line of the sarcomere of cardiac and skeletal muscle cells, and thus they are important for calcineurin signaling. Mutations in MYOZ2 cause cardiomyopathy familial hypertrophic type 16, a hereditary heart disorder.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 51778; HGNC ID: HGNC:1330; UniProt: Q9NPC6; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_016599.5; Chromosome location: 4q26
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
