SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MYOC (myocilin) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MYOC qPCR Primer Set – myocilin
Also known as: GLC1A, GPOA, JOAG, JOAG1, TIGR
About this gene: MYOC encodes the protein myocilin, which is believed to have a role in cytoskeletal function. The trabecular meshwork is a specialized eye tissue essential in regulating intraocular pressure, and mutations in MYOC have been identified as the cause of hereditary juvenile-onset open-angle glaucoma.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4653; HGNC ID: HGNC:7610; UniProt: Q99972; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000261.2; Chromosome location: 1q24.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
