SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MYO6 (myosin VI) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MYO6 qPCR Primer Set – myosin VI
Also known as: DFNA22, DFNB37
About this gene: MYO6 encodes a reverse-direction motor protein that moves toward the minus end of actin filaments and is involved in intracellular vesicle and organelle transport. The protein consists of a motor domain containing an ATP- and an actin-binding site and a globular tail which interacts with other proteins. The MYO6 protein maintains the structural integrity of inner ear hair cells and mutations in MYO6 cause non-syndromic autosomal dominant and recessive hearing loss.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4646; HGNC ID: HGNC:7605; UniProt: Q9UM54; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_004999.4; Chromosome location: 6q14.1
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
