SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MYH9 (myosin heavy chain 9, also called NMMHC-IIA) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MYH9 qPCR Primer Set – myosin heavy chain 9
Also known as: BDPLT6, DFNA17, EPSTS, FTNS, MATINS, MHA, NMHC-II-A, NMMHC-IIA, NMMHCA
About this gene: MYH9 encodes a conventional non-muscle myosin; this protein should not be confused with the unconventional myosin-9a or 9b. The MYH9 protein is a myosin IIA heavy chain that contains an IQ domain and a myosin head-like domain which is involved in multiple important functions, including cytokinesis, cell motility and maintenance of cell shape. Defects in MYH9 have been linked to non-syndromic sensorineural deafness autosomal dominant type 17, Epstein syndrome, Alport syndrome with macrothrombocytopenia, Sebastian syndrome, Fechtner syndrome and macrothrombocytopenia with progressive sensorineural deafness.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4627; HGNC ID: HGNC:7579; UniProt: P35579; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_002473.6; Chromosome location: 22q12.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
