Human MXD4 qPCR Primer Set – MAX dimerization protein 4
Also known as: MAD4, MST149, MSTP149, bHLHc12
About this gene: MXD4 belongs to the MAD gene family . The MAD genes encode basic helix-loop-helix-leucine zipper proteins that heterodimerize with MAX protein, forming a transcriptional repression complex. The MAD proteins compete for MAX binding with MYC, which heterodimerizes with MAX forming a transcriptional activation complex. Studies in rodents suggest that the MAD genes are tumor suppressors and contribute to the regulation of cell growth in differentiating tissues.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 10608; HGNC ID: HGNC:13906; UniProt: Q14582; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_006454.3; Chromosome location: 4p16.3
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
