SYBR Green qPCR primers for detecting human MVK (mevalonate kinase, also called MK) gene expression by real-time PCR. Each set comes with primer sequences and reaction conditions.
Human MVK qPCR Primer Set – mevalonate kinase
Also known as: LRBP, MK, MVLK, POROK3
About this gene: MVK encodes a peroxisomal enzyme mevalonate kinase. Mevalonate is a key intermediate, and mevalonate kinase a key early enzyme, in isoprenoid and sterol synthesis. Mevalonate kinase deficiency caused by mutation of MVK leads to mevalonic aciduria, a disease characterized psychomotor retardation, failure to thrive, hepatosplenomegaly, anemia and recurrent febrile crises.
Gene details: NCBI Gene ID: 4598; HGNC ID: HGNC:7530; UniProt: Q03426; RefSeq (MANE Select): NM_000431.4; Chromosome location: 12q24.11
What you get: Primers are provided as a 40 µl solution containing both primers at a final concentration of 50 µM in 10 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 0.1 mM EDTA. Dilute with H2O as needed prior to use. This amount is sufficient for 1,000 PCR reactions of 20 µl, assuming a final primer concentration of 0.1 µM.
